National Academic Depository & Academic Bank of Credits
National Academic Depository (NAD):
National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of Government of India, UGC,
and the Ministry of Education. NAD allows academic institutions to upload academic
awards in digital format. This makes academic documents accessible to students at
any time and from anywhere. Authorized academic partners can verify the authenticity
of documents with the student’s consent. It operates in a fully online mode for
paperless and presence-less transaction of documents from one place to another.
Academic Bank of Credits (ABC):
Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is an initiative of Ministry of Electronics and
Information Technology (MeitY) and Ministry of Education (MoE). As per National
Education Policy 2020, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) has been envisaged to
facilitate the academic mobility of students with the freedom to study across
higher education institutions in the country with an appropriate “credit transfer”
mechanism from one programme to another, leading to attain a Degree / Diploma / PG
Diploma etc., considering the significance of this digital initiative, it is mandatory
for all students to generate ABC ID.
All students are advised to visit www.abc.gov.in or www.digilocker.gov.in to generate

The Academic bank of credits (ABC) is a digital platform that lets students transfer,
and redeem credits across different higher education institutions.
Students register for an ABC ID to track and manage their credits.
This ABC ID will be mentioned in your Marksheet.
Credits can be transferred as needed.
A unique 12-digit ID, Aadhaar number, and linked mobile number are required.
