World Environment Day 2026 Celebrated with “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign at Shri Davara University

Shri Davara University, Raipur, observed World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm through the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living among students, faculty members, and staff.

The program witnessed active participation from the university fraternity, including Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S. Mohan Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Varun Ganjir, Registrar (In-Charge) Shri Vipin Shrivastava, deans, department heads, faculty members, employees, and students.

As part of the celebration, a plantation drive and environmental awareness program were organized across the university campus. The plantation activity was conducted under the guidance of the Yoga Department and coordinated by Dr. Khomesh Sahu.

A special highlight of the event was that students brought saplings from their homes and participated in plantation activities with great enthusiasm. Various environmentally significant and medicinal plants, including Tulsi, Neem, Amla, Giloy, and Ashok, were planted within the campus premises.

The initiative reflected the university’s commitment towards environmental conservation, ecological balance, and sustainable development. Through this campaign, Shri Davara University encouraged students to become responsible citizens and contribute actively towards building a greener and healthier future.

The university administration appreciated the efforts of all participants and reaffirmed its dedication to promoting environmental stewardship through education, awareness, and community engagement.

World Environment Day 2026 at Shri Davara University served as a meaningful reminder that environmental protection is a collective responsibility and that small actions today can create a sustainable future for generations to come.
