Dr. Surajit De Mandal is a distinguished researcher and academic leader currently serving as the Dean, Faculty of Science, Shri Davara University, Raipur, India. With extensive experience in higher education and scientific research, he has built an impressive academic career spanning India, South Korea, and China. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and institutional development. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Mizoram University with specialization in Microbial Metagenomics, Dr. De Mandal pursued advanced research and teaching assignments at internationally reputed institutions. He served as Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at South China Agricultural University, China, followed by Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Professor at Yeungnam University, South Korea. These engagements provided him with extensive exposure to global research environments and interdisciplinary scientific collaboration.

As Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. De Mandal plays a pivotal role in strengthening academic quality, promoting research culture, and fostering interdisciplinary learning. He is also the Chairperson of the Board of Studies (BoS), where he leads curriculum development and academic policy formulation to ensure quality, innovation, and relevance in higher education. Dr. De Mandal is an active member of several national and international scientific organizations, including the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB), European Biotechnology Society (EBS), Triangle Mycological Society (TMS), and the Northeast Association for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (NACMID).
