Prof. (Dr.) MANISH VERMMA

Prof. (Dr.) Manish Vermma is a distinguished Professor of English Literature with over twenty-four years of sustained engagement in teaching, research, and academic leadership. His scholarly contributions encompass the supervision of six doctoral dissertations and nineteen MPhil/ MA theses, alongside the publication of twenty-eight peer-reviewed research papers. He has further enriched the discipline through nine authored and co-edited volumes published by leading academic presses in India, Germany, and Canada. Dr. Verma’s academic excellence is complemented by his commitment to social inclusion. He has been formally recognized by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Chhattisgarh, for his contributions to the transgender community. His pedagogical distinction was underscored in 2016 when his stewardship achieved a 97% result in English Language (PCE) at Chhattisgarh Vivekananda Technical University. In 2015, he was listed among the Top 15 Quora Writers of English, reflecting his ability to engage diverse audiences beyond the academy. He is an active member of professional bodies including ELTAI, CETA, and iSPELL, and serves on editorial boards of international journals. His administrative and academic leadership includes roles as Chairman of the Examination Committee, member of the Departmental Research Committee, Academic Council Member, and NEP-2020 Coordinator at Shri Davara University, Raipur. He has organized national seminars, ICSSR-funded conferences, NEP workshops, and cultural festivals, while contributing substantively to curriculum development under NEP-2020 reforms. Internationally, Dr. Verma has taught Communicative English and Business Communication to students from South Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh, thereby extending his pedagogical reach across cultural and linguistic boundaries. His research interests span existential philosophy, research methodology, and social inclusion, areas in which he continues to publish and mentor. In recognition of his scholarly achievements, Dr. Verma received the HEI 2nd Best Researcher Award at Kalinga University.
