Shri Davara University, Raipur successfully organized a two-day National Science Day celebration along with its First National Seminar on 27–28 February 2026 at the Exhibition Hall, First Floor, Pragati Bhavan, University Campus.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Science with the objective of promoting scientific thinking, innovation, and collaboration among students, researchers, and academicians. The theme of the program was “Innovations for Health, Environment and Society.”
The program featured several engaging activities including a Scientific Exhibition showcasing innovative ideas, Photo Exhibition of Indian Scientists, Expert Talks on Scientific Innovations, and Prize Distribution for the top three winners. Students actively participated in competitions such as Science Quiz, Scientific Model Exhibition, and Fun with Science, demonstrating their creativity and scientific knowledge.
The seminar witnessed the presence of distinguished academicians and experts from reputed institutions. The Chief Guest for the program was Professor Srinivas KG from Indian Institute of Information Technology Raipur.
The Keynote Speakers included Prof. N. Senthil Kumar from Central University of Mizoram, Dr. K. Syed Ibrahim from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and Professor Abdesh Mishra from Mizoram University. Their insightful lectures enriched the event and inspired participants with valuable knowledge and perspectives on scientific research and innovation.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance and support of the university leadership including DG Dr. Charmi Davara, CEO Chinmoy Davara, and Registrar Kumar Shwetabh, along with the continuous efforts of the university administration, organizing committee, IT and technical team, event management staff, and all faculty members.
The program concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners and a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, speakers, participants, and staff members whose support and dedication made the event a grand success.
