Ph.D. Admission Process
Pursuing a Ph.D. is a journey of rigorous research, academic growth, and professional development. Shri Davara University provides a structured and transparent admission process to guide candidates through each stage, ensuring that every scholar is well-prepared to contribute to their chosen field.
Eligibility Criteria
- A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree, OR
- A 2-year/4-semester master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree, OR
- An equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
✅ Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently-Abled, and EWS candidates. ✅ Direct Ph.D. after a 4-year bachelor’s degree requires 75% marks (with relaxations).
Exemption from Entrance Examination
Candidates with UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, CEED, or similar national fellowships are exempted from the entrance exam but must appear for the interview.
Registration on University Portal
All candidates must register on the Shri Davara University Admission Portal using a valid Email ID and Mobile Number.
Online Application Form
Applicants must provide research details and upload:
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Signature
Application Fee: ₹1000 (to be paid online).
Entrance Examination
Exam tests subject knowledge, research aptitude, and analytical skills (MCQ format).
- General Category: 50% minimum
- Reserved Category: 45% minimum
- Each paper requires at least 40% marks
Interview
Shortlisted candidates must attend an interview evaluating:

Merit List & Selection
